Up Robotics is a hands-on robotics and technology program for students in grades K–12. They learn by making things, testing them, and finding out why they failed.
Learning by building
A robot rarely behaves as expected on the first attempt. Students have to isolate the problem, change one thing, and try again.
Students build robots, train models, work with sensors, and compete under deadlines. Along the way they learn decomposition, experimentation, teamwork, and persistence.
What that looks like in practice
Weekly classes lead into FIRST® LEGO® League, FIRST® Tech Challenge, and VEX IQ teams. We also run summer camps, homeschool classes, and school partnerships. Every format gives students repeated chances to test and rebuild.
Where the software side shows up
Some student projects become working systems. The PillWatch pill monitor started at Up Robotics and now uses a Raspberry Pi camera with an on-device computer-vision model. The team is working on reliability across lighting, pill types, and fill patterns.
